MacBook Air—Ball?
If you have been online recently and visited the Apple website you know that they came out with a new notebook called MacBook Air. Clever name, great design…but will it sell? There has never been a thinner notebook.“It measures an unprecedented 0.16 inches at its thinnest point while its maximum height of 0.76 inches is less than the thinnest point on competing notebooks.” — Apple.com

I think it is designed amazingly, but I don’t think it will sell as well as Apple would like. It just doesn’t seem like a very durable notebook (in comparison to their others). But, it will sell.
The only other negative I see the MacBook Air having is that it doesn’t have an optical drive. I understand Apple’s argument that we only use it for specific purposes, but there will be a time when a customer needs to have the optical drive and won’t have access to another computer or will have to pay $100 or wait for their external drive to arrive a few days later. It seems that Apple made up an excuse to not add one so they could claim the title…THE THINNEST NOTEBOOK EVER!!! It will be great as a personal computer, but not for professional use.
